Abstract

In October 2018, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced an increase in the index from 134.95 in September 2018 to 135.02 in October 2018, resulting in inflation of 0.05 percent. Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in October 2018 was 2.15 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) in October 2018 was 2.79 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced inflation, namely the transport, communication and financial services group experienced inflation of 0.66 percent; clothing group 0.08 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.03 percent; and the health group 0.03 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation (decreased by 0.16 percent); and the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group at 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, the education, recreation and sports groups did not experience changes in the index.

Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in October 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation was 0.02 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.22 percent.
