Abstract

In July 2018, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 135.18 in June 2018 to 135.12 in July 2018, resulting in deflation of 0.05 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year point to point) in July 2018 was 2.23 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) in July 2018 was 2.85 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group experienced inflation (increased by 0.57 percent); education, recreation and sports group 0.26 percent; clothing group 0.16 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.11 percent; health group 0.10 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.06 percent. On the other hand, the transportation, communications and financial services group experienced deflation of 1.64 percent.
