October 2023, there will be inflation year on year (yoy) for the two cities in Lampung combined at 3.06 percent. The highest inflation occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco group at 7.93 percent.

In October 2023, there will be combined year-on-year (yoy) inflation between the two cities in Lampung amounting to 3.06 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.44. Inflation yoy Bandar Lampung City was 3.07 percent, with a CPI of 117.41 and YoY inflation in Metro City was 2.93 percent with a CPI of 117.66.

Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: food group, drinks and tobacco at 7.93 percent; clothing and footwear group 1.62 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group 0.94 percent; groups of supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance 1.89 percent; health group 1.37 percent; recreation, sports and groups culture 1.37 percent; education group 3.68 percent; provision group food and beverages/restaurants 1.07 percent; and personal care groups and other services 2.05 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group experienced decline in index (deflation), namely: transportation group by 0.49 percent and information, communication and financial services group 0.31 percent.

The main commodities contributing to inflation yoy in October 2023 include rice, filtered clove cigarettes, garlic, white cigarettes, pump drinking water rates, and cayenne pepper. Month to month (mtm) inflation rate for October 2023 recorded inflation of 0.30 percent and the inflation rate year to date (ytd) in October 2023 is 2.41 percent
