Abstract

September 2018, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 135.22 in August 2018 to 134.95 in September 2018, resulting in deflation of 0.20 percent. Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in September 2018 was 2.10 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) in September 2018 was 2.87 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely the health group experienced inflation of 1.24 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group at 0.93 percent; education, recreation and sports group at 0.79 percent; clothing group at 0.23 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group experienced inflation of 0.05 percent. On the other hand, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation (down by 2.02 percent). Meanwhile, the transport, communications and financial services groups did not experience changes in inflation or deflation.

Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in September 2018, all experienced deflation. Bandar Lampung deflation was 0.20 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.19 percent.
