Abstract

In June 2018, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.98 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 133.32 in May 2018 to 134.62 in June 2018. Five expenditure groups experienced inflation in Bandar Lampung City, namely the transport group. , communications and financial services rose by 2.48 percent; food ingredients group 2.06 percent; clothing group 1.38 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.24 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the health group and the education, recreation and sports group did not experience changes in the index.

The contribution of expenditure groups to the formation of inflation in June 2018 was in the foodstuffs group at 0.51 percent, the transport, communications and financial services group at 0.37 percent; clothing group 0.06 percent; and the ready-made food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, for the housing group, water, electricity, gas and fuel; health group; and the education, recreation and sports groups do not contribute to the formation of inflation or deflation.
