Abstract

In August 2017, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 131.38 in July 2017 to 130.89 in August 2017, resulting in deflation of 0.38 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in August 2017 was 2.01 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in August 2017 was 3.90 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, three groups experienced deflation, namely the foodstuffs group fell by 1.23 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group at 0.01 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group fell 1.00 percent. On the other hand, the ready-made food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups experienced inflation (increasing by 0.13 percent); clothing group by 0.15 percent; health group by 0.14 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group at 0.59 percent
