Development of Exports and Imports in Lampung Province December 2011

Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in December 2011 reached US$ 221.6 million or decreased by US$ 111.1 million (33.40%) compared to exports in November 2011. Exports in December 2011, compared to December 2010, also decreased by US$ 62.1 million (21 .9%) of US$283.7 million.

Seven main categories of goods experienced a decline in export value in December 2011 compared to November 2011. The highest decline in exports occurred in the category of animal/vegetable fats & oils, US$110.8 million; cocoa/chocolate US$8.6 million; rubber and rubber goods US$5.7 million; processed fruit/vegetables US$1.5 million; organic chemicals US$0.5 million; wood, wooden goods US$0.3 million; and fish and shrimp US$0.2 million. The three main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value in December 2011 compared to November 2011 were pulp/pulp US$11.1 million; coffee, tea, spices US$6.1 million; and processed meat and fish US$1.5 million.
