Today is commemorated as National Statistics Day (HSN). Every September 26, all statisticians in Indonesia make the momentum of HSN to continue to encourage the spirit of contributing to the nation and state through the provision and development of statistics.

The 2023 HSN commemoration takes the theme "Quality Statistics for Advanced Indonesia". This theme illustrates the importance of quality statistics in determining the direction of Indonesia's development, especially in realizing the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.

As a data provider institution in Indonesia, the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) certainly makes National Statistics Day to strengthen its role as a provider of quality statistics as well as a statistical data coach. The utilization of BPS data needs to be expanded. BPS also plays a role in providing insights in improving development policies, as well as supporting the formulation of policies based on evidence and accurate data (evidence-based policy).
